Patch Safari
Patch Safari is a Montreal-based production duo formed in 2017 by Roxane Durand and Julien Turmel.
When they met in 2012, Julien, a DJ and indie songwriter, had been working as a Tv music composer/producer for 15 years. Roxane was a young aspiring producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer who had spent her teenage years learning how to produce electronic music in her parents basement.
Their paths crossed when Julien, who's girlfriend owns a cosmetics R&D company, came to lend a hand. Roxane, an employee, gathered her courage and told him about her SoundCloud page. Upon listening to her tracks, he knew he had found a diamond in the rough.
Ever since this unlikely encounter, the music veteran and the introverted basement producer, became an inseparable studio pair.
So far, they scored numerous documentaries, TV shows and commercials. They co-produced and co-wrote Alfa Rococo's "L'amour et le chaos" to be released in April 2018 on Coyote Records and co-produced Rudy Rude's (one half of Rudeluck, a staple of the 90's french Canadian music scene) album to be released in 2018.
Their sound is a highly musical mix of modern pop and left-field influences.
